The rocket is about to explode, the screen goes black, and all hope for Earth's most daring space adventurer seemed bleak, but Flash Gordon returns to fight another day! Cast-a-Way Toys has secured the rights to 1:6 scale and 1:9 scale figures for the FLASH GORDON serials starring the original film action hero "Buster" Crabbe as Flash Gordon.

"After the smash success of the Phantom, we knew that Flash Gordon was definitely on the horizon. We wanted to make Flash Gordon because, like the Phantom, these classic characters resonate with collectors. There is just something about them that makes them timeless." David Lee, Cast-A-Way Toys.

Originated as a limited edition figure by the award winning product designers at Go Hero, Cast-A-Way Toys is taking Flash Gordon on a new adventure. These Flash Gordon figures are fully licensed and beautifully crafted based on Buster Crabbe's portrayal of Flash Gordon.

"Cast Away Toys shares our passion for classic pop-culture icons. It is exciting to see our original vision for Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon further developed into new products. We support them and are look forward to collaborating on new licensing opportunities." Steve Forde, Go Hero

The adventures of Flash Gordon, born from Alex Raymond's watershed comic strips, were created to entertain a new generation of fans. Flash, Dale and Dr. Zarkhoff's adventures on the mysterious planet Mongo against Ming the Merciless became the standard of science fiction for children and adults alike. The series opened on January 7, 1934 with world renowned Polo player Flash Gordon's swashbuckling space adventures in weekly comic strips. A mere two years later, in 1936, Buster Crabbe made his debut on the silver screen as the hero in the self-titled Flash Gordon. In 1938 Crabbe reprised his role as Flash Gordon in Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars one of the greatest movie serials of all time!

These fantastic movie serials lend their spirit to painstakingly designed collectible figures, featuring a remarkable likeness of Buster Crabbe, with film accurate costumes and accessories.

The new adventures begin with a FIRST EVER "Action Pilot" Flash Gordon. Direct from the serial (Screen Shot), this limited edition version comes dressed in high quality aviator gear, complete with soft flight helmet, goggles and topped off with a leather style bomber jacket. Included in the set is the alternate lightning bolt costume. AVAILABLE NOW at www.castawaytoys.com!

And COMING SOON, the FIRST EVER 1:9 scale Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon. Ming has used is "Shrink Ray" to make Flash into an amazingly detailed 1:9 scale figure. All the detail in a retro friendly size.

But that is not all, Cast-A-Way Toys & Go Hero are developing 1:6 and 1:9 versions of Charles Middleton as Ming the Merciless.
