Help Save Angel

The WB announced on February 14 that it would not renew Angel for a sixth season. While fans in the United States slept, Simon Fleischmann of Israel went to work on a website to help save the show and SaveAngel.org was born. While the site provides information on how to contact the executives of the networks, it also contains an online petition which garnered 20,000 signatures on the first day. While the signatures continue to increase, major newspapers around the world are giving the site press, including the Wall Street Journal. Of course other websites, including TVGuide.com, are helping to save the show by promoting SaveAngel.org.

Please help save the show by signing the petition and/or using another method provided by this great site. Also, please visit SupportAngel.com which is a similar site that has also gotten press.

About Angel:

Angel, a spin off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, debuted in the WB's Fall 1999 lineup. The show is about a 250 year old vampire who spent over 100 years as an evil vampire named Angelus. However in the early 1900s he killed a gypsy girl and was cursed with a soul by the girl's parents. Upon receiving his soul Angelus became Angel and felt the guilt of all of his past evil deeds. Now he must atone for his sins by fighting evil and saving the innocent. In 1999 he left the town of Sunnydale, home of Buffy, and moved to Los Angeles where he now resides and fights evil alongside his group of colleagues which collectively make up Angel Investigations.

The show stars David Boreanaz as Angel, Alexis Denisof as Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, Amy Acker as Winifred "Fred" Burkle, J. August Richards as Charles Gunn, Andy Hallett as Lorne, and James Marsters as Spike.
