There is a need for this concept. It's been demanded for years and years now. The cool monster heads are just a much appreciated bonus. He saw a need and hopefully these guys can cash in on it. He's got my support. Hopefully this can translate to some kind of non-distinct super hero type body molds that can be custom painted and with some "similar" head sculpts to some of those figures that haven't been done. I can totally see a modern Karnak-type figure in the making with what they've got already. I think it's a gold mine waiting to be found.

Hey Shartimus, you think you can lend Hasbro your formula on how to do an accurate machete or a bat with barbed wire on it? They don't seem to be able to crack that nut just yet.

Unfortunately for my wallet, I am all too familiar with Kickstarter rules and have been on a couple that never delivered, but so far for me that has been 2 in about 85 or so over the last 10 years

That is a pretty amazing track record. Ive only seen alot of kickstarters for video games go awry so im unfamiliar with other projects like figs and their outcomes. The thing that sucks about video games is they can still give you a product, albeit unfinished and still get away with all your money. Thats the scary part Ive seen. Id imagine with the figure realm of ks, they almost always accomplish getting the final finished product into your hands. Its a side I never really consider outside of the video game ks space.

I'm backing this project but its conditional. They don't have any prototypes which to me is odd, since I've backed other projects and they did. Except for one which turned out to be a scam (Cryptid). Also there's no shipping information or expected delivery dates. Looking at the names of the people associated with the project I would expect this kind of basic info to be there on the page.

Figures (at least the renditions) look good however and I'm interested!

Remember that this being a kickstarter, requires it to meet its goal otherwise your money doesnt buy you anything. So fingers crossed it meets its goal and people get their stuff. Some people think kickstarter is basically a guarantee they will receive the product that is being introduced but its not at all the case.

Well for me personally and what I feel thats presented is worth, its too high. I definitely dont doubt that it costs alot more to make and im sure hes put it at a reasonable price point. I can also only imagine being an independent on this kind of project is a nightmare to deal with. They are also dealing with items that no one knows or familiar with, it's its own IP which is already hard enough to sell figures that ARE known licenses. Its just too much for me to sink into. I do wish him all the best of luck and success in it tho, its a very nice idea.

And for the fwoosh, pretty much the same idea. Im glad I got them but for the price they originally sold them, I dont feel they are worth that pricetag to me. I am glad that we are getting alot of independent figures developed, but money has become even more tight anymore and prices just seem to keep skyrocketing into the stratosphere.

That's how I feel, same thing happened with the Articulated Icons and those were Ninjas which I love. I got a few of them on sale and the hands keeps falling off from the wrist joints. This is a cool idea and I hope it succeeds and those who want it can get them.

I'll pick up one, maybe two on the kickstarter. It is a little high, but as others have pointed out, this is an independent line that will be at a higher price point and is just trying to start out, which is the whole point of Kickstarter. To think you could get these at Marvel Legends prices (which, to be honest, are too high as well) is being a little unrealistic. Hopefully with enough support, the line can continue and maybe become a little cheaper.

Yeah I totally get not wanting to spend $40 for these things though I think based on past kickstarters i've watched there seems to be plenty of folks in the hobby who are willing to pay that.

Oh for sure and this is a concept that i havent seen a big name toy company do for whatever reason. So he has that market and there are tons of people out there that can afford buying $100s of toys a week/month. Those are the people that are going to help this become a success and im here for it.
