Free Comic Book Day at Alter Ego Comics
The national Free Comic Book Day event is this Saturday, May 6th, and Alter Ego Comics is throwing a big celebration in honor of this event.
We'll have over a dozen free comic book titles that we're giving away, including Superman/Batman, X-Men/Runaways, Transformers, Star Wars, Conan, GI Joe, Archie, Donald Duck and many more...and they're all free!
We're also pleased to welcome comic book artists Dan Davis & Billy Dallas Patton. Dan has worked for DC Comics, inking titles such as Green Arrow, Justice League Unlimited and Batgirl. He also has illustrated a number of children's books for Scholastic featuring Scooby Doo and Spongebob.
Billy has worked on X-Men Unlimited for Marvel and Seven Soldiers: Mister Miracle for DC Comics. His latest comic book is Zoom Suit, a fun-filled, all ages book featuring aliens, armored suits and more 80s pop culture references than you can shake a stick at. The first run of Zoom Suit has already sold out, but we have plenty in stock for Billy to sign.
Both artists will be drawing free sketches for Alter Ego customers and siging comics.
Finally, Free Comic Book Day 2006 also marks the one year anniversary of the opening of the Alter Ego Comics retail store, so we're having a huge one-day sale in the store.
