by Jay Cochran
November 25, 2008
Diamond Select Toys will be releasing a new 7" Sulu figure for their TOS line of Star Trek figures from Art Asylum. The figure depicts Sulu in the uniform he first appeared in during the second pilot episode for the Star Trek Original Series called "Where No Man Has Gone Before". As you can see from the image below, Sulu started out in the science division of Starfleet wearing a blue shirt. It wasn't until the second episode that he had moved over to the command branch and became the helmsman of the Starship Enterprise. No word yet on how or when this figure will be released. Stay tuned for more details to be revealed soon.
