Adam Unger of
Art Asylum lets us know that there has been a few changes to the line-up for their 3rd series of Star Trek: The Orginal Series figures. The first change is the disapointing one. Due to tooling problems the
Salt Vampire orginally slated for this line has been held back. Instead of holding up the series anymore it was decided that it would no longer be included in the 3rd series. Adam tells us that it will either be placed in a future assortment or maybe even as some type of exclusive. The second change is that the Yellow Shirt Kirk figure included in this assortment won't be the same one that was offered at the 2003 summer conventions (Shown above). The version released in this wave will be a battle damaged version based on how he appeared in the episode "The Arena", were he battled the Gorn who is also included in this wave. So to sum up this wave will now include:
The Gorn, Orion Slave Girl, Kor the Klingon, Battle Damaged Captain James T. Kirk (Not Shown).
The
Enterprise E we gave you the first look at a few weeks ago is also still a go as we orginally reported. Look for the 3rd series of figures to be released in early 2005. As we learn more of the final fate for the Salt Vampire figure we will let you know.
