In the early days of the Simpsons the bulk of the Bart merchandise (toys, clothes, etc.) had him wearing a blue shirt despite his shirt being a reddish orange color on the show. A lot of the various sources on google explain that it had to do with marketing decisions at the time as well as attempts to distinguish licensed Bart merch from bootlegs. The show actually makes reference to the blue shirt a couple of times as jokes. If you look up Bart dolls from the early 90s he is typically wearing a blue shirt.
I think it is cool that they are releasing a blue shirt Bart for that very reason since it kind of pay homage to the Simpsons toys of the past!

Oh that is hard to see, but I see it now.

So including waves 3 & 4 that makes 3 Homers (regular Homer released in waves 1 & 2, incredible bulk, and Baseball Homer) and 3 Barts (regular, Barman, and blue shirt). With the size of the Simpsons cast I kind of wish some of the Homer/Bart variants would be released in later waves as apposed to the early ones. I get why they are doing it this way. They figure Bart and Homer can essentially carry each wave if necessary since they are the 2 most popular characters. But if every wave is going to have a spot taken up by a Bart or Homer variant, then it is going to take a loooong time to get through the rest of the roster. I wish theyd hurry up and make a 5in Ralph Wiggum. Hes my favorite lol.
No this is wave 3
Is this supposed to be wave 3?
A great line. Just found the 2.5 slingshot Bart with the one eye closed. I completely missed him when that wave was announced so that was a surprise.
My only complaint is that the playsets (so far) have been too simple when compared to the Playmates which they are obviously an homage of.
