Spawn Kickstarter Figure Factory Sample First Look

by Jay Cochran
June 24, 2020
Todd McFarlane has posted a new update for his recently successful Spawn Kickstarter figure. Shown below are images of the first factory sample of the Artist Proof Spawn figure. Though this is still far from the finished item (the chains will be much longer around the waist, the figure will be painted in a mat finished gray color, packaging still being tweaked, the base will have logos on it, etc.) this shows you most of the pieces and accessories that will be included.

For those that ordered any level that includes the Artist Proof SPAWN, you will get most of what you see here and for those that ordered any level with the 3-PACK SPAWN TRILOGY, you will have even more variety and flexibility with your figure because you can swap some of the accessories from your other 2 figures (the Classic and Modern Spawn).

Ugh seeing these new pictures of the further development of this figure , yet again... I wish I was getting this, it has Torso articulation in the end...

why self why!?

I still find the cape very cumbersome when posing the figure itself, but well many like the way it is. The torso is really the weakest part of the design.

He's looking pretty good.I kinda regret not backing this. I'm happy with the mortal kombat version, but this would be cool too.

I backed this figure and even though I'm pleased with the outcome I still wished they could have done the torso a little differently.

Can't say 100% because Idon't have the figure in hand, but I am very pleased overall. Very satisfied with the torso articulation. Just hope the final product has sturdy joints. That cumbersome cake will most likely be replaced. Hope it's easy to remove.

Following the new official images from earlier today, Todd McFarlane has posted a new video giving an update for his Spawn Kickstarter figure. In the video he shows off the final torso articulation the figure will have as well as let us know the figures should start shipping out around the first week of December.

Also be sure to check back tomorrow as ShartimusPrime will be giving us a more detailed look of the figure in a new video with images.

Can a toy that hasn't even been released yet BE a toy of the year . . . before the year even starts?

its for the previous year. they announce winners at toyfair each year in feb. they say 2021 because thats the year the winner is announced but its for 2020. this is a finalist for action figure of the year. it has no chance of winning since its going against mattels thank you heroes line but its nice publicity i guess.

Mr_Scary92 - 2020-11-13 @ 4:39 pm

??????Exactly. These kinds of contests have never had much credibility for me.
