2025 SDCC Coverage: McFarlane Toys Mortal Komba Klassic 7" Figure Details

by Jay Cochran
July 24, 2025
Following up from yesterday's SDCC Coverage, we wanted to share more details for the new line of 7" McFarlane Toys Mortal Kombat Klassic figures.

The first wave of figures will be going up for pre-order early next month (August) and includes single releases of Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Liu Kang and Kitana which will be the Red Platinum release in the wave.

They will also be doing 2-packs which feature diorama bases, multiple heads and other Mortal Kombat accessories to mimic the characters and abilities. They showed the two pack with Sub-Zero vs. Mileena. The Sub-Zero in the 2-pack does differ from the single release primarily with the alternate translucent iced lower arms. You get both the MK1 and MK2 heads with the Sub-Zero in the 2-pack. Mileena also has an alternate head. The 2-Pack will also be going up for pre-order early next month.

For the second wave of single released figures they showed was Reptile and Raiden. The second wave will go up for pre-order later in the year.

While not shown yesterday, the next two 2-Packs which will also go up for pre-order later this year will include Liu Kang vs Reptile and Scorpion vs Raiden.

That means we're getting preorders 7/26, 7/29, and 8/1?

During the Loyal Subjects panel at San Diego Comic Con they gave us a sneak-peek at the vehicles they will be releasing for their M.A.S.K. line. They showed the Jackhammer and Hurricane. They also announced black and gold anniversary versions of their Condor, Thunderhawk and High Tech Helicopter to go with the previously announced Mobile Defense Unit Vehicle. These will be available through TLS website starting on 8/5.

For their Jem Dolls line they announced that they will be releasing the other band members Aja Leith, Shana Elmsford, Kimber Benton and Raya Alonso.

Preview Night Mezco

As a freak fan of The Bat- I must say I cannot wait for my BTAS figures from entertainmentearth, and I am highly liking the year 1 Batman as well as the Dark Knight Bale Batman looks sweet too. Not sure if I want that one though- but I am super happy they are making it finally. Batman year 1 I just might preorder.

I'm still all about These Mortal Kombat Klassic figures, I am loving them, They are the Mortal Kombat figures I wish we had gotten, but instead I settled on The MK11 figures that Todd Shafted me on, and gave me a half baked collection that ended abruptly, Now after scrapping those (although I never said I didn't think they were some cool figures, these are just cooler), I got to start again with these. Also Hey excuse me, I want a Mr. Bones.

This analysis I agree with totally. I think the storm collectibles figures are the best in the game for MK though. But since storm seemingly isn't making more of them- I think whatever I'm missing in my collection now, I might just balance out with some of the newer McFarlane stuff.

Cannot believe the Ken Shamrock that comes in that Wrestlemania 13 Bret / Austin 3 pack does not come in a sculpted on, or with a cloth goods, referee shirt!

What are you thinking, Mattel?!

That's just an image rendering- but I've sen pics with him in a striped tank top zebra shirt- it looks to be cloth too. It is strange they did not put it next to him here in the promo pic.
