The Monolith #1 Sells Out

March 10, 2004

The debut issue of the new series THE MONOLITH (DEC030283) has sold out at DC Comics. The issue, written by Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray with art and cover by Phil Winslade, arrived in stores on February 4.

"This is great news and a real solid sign that people are interested in experiencing new and exciting concepts," say Palmiotti & Gray. "We cannot thank the wonderfully talented crew at DC Comics enough for their hard work in making THE MONOLITH a hit!"

"We printed this issue substantially beyond retailers orders,"says Bob Wayne, DC's VP Sales & Marketing. "Between advance reviews and word of mouth, this series has momentum. We suggest retailers increase their orders now on upcoming issues."

Other issues of THE MONOLITH are available as follows:

* THE MONOLITH #2 (JAN040253) is in stores now and is available for reorder.

* THE MONOLITH #3 (FEB040276) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 7.

* THE MONOLITH #4 (MAR040328) is solicited in the March issue of Previews (Volume XIV #3) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on May 5.

DC has no plans to go back to press on THE MONOLITH #1 at this time. Please note that copies may still be available at retail.
