Hi, Can you tell me which new ships will be out this year, I was hoping to get news on The Enterprise B, also in the UK there never seems to be any stock of any of your ships in any worthwhile bulk and so they are VERY expensive to buy. Your thoughts please.

DSTChuck: Rick, we are working on the B and a Klingon BOP, we do hope they will be in stores in 2011. We are not going to give out a ship date until we have a working sample that we like from the factory, to best ensure the date we give will be as accurate as possible. As for the UK all I can say is we do have a distributor there so please be sure to tell your retailer to let his supplier know about his interest in the Trek ships!

Hi, I know that the Stargate line is on life support, but maybe by introducing the main SG-1 figures offworld uniforms again might stir up the interest once more. I know when i started collecting, ebay was the only option to get the original team and i paid a nice mark up for them. Fans are there, one particular forum has 45 pages of custom made figures from the line in their different variations. Please release the original team in some format to drum up the interest, i’ll hate to see this great line die premature. Thanks

DSTChuck: Jesse, I am very sorry to report to you and other fans that we are not currently developing anything for the Stargate property.

Hey guys, long time since I’ve asked questions regarding BSG, and I know you might be sick of answering them, but what kind of fan would I be if I didn’t ask them right? The San Diego comicon tickets just went on sale, and it made me wonder if there’s any chance that maybe, pretty please, we could get a Roslin/Baltar 2 pack as this years exclusive??? Would you be able to give us ANY information on anything regarding the line? Also, have you given any thought to releasing “easy production” figures. You know, things you already have the molds for like a Starbuck and dualla in dress blues, or an off duty adama? Maybe something to draw sales up enough to get back into it?

DSTChuck: I am very sorry but like Stargate, we’re not developing anything for BSG at this time.

Dear Chuck, In AskDST #115 you stated that the Enterprise-B and the Klingon BOP are the only two ships in “active development.” What does this mean for the new Enterprise-E? Speaking of the new Enterprise-E, some distributors have said that it’s coming in January, (now marked as coming in February,) while Toy Chest News has it marked as coming in October. I know that you hate to give out ETAs because of what happened with the Enterprise-D, but is there any chance that you could clarify when we should expect the Enterprise-E with the new paint scheme? Also, I wanted to mention that I absolutely love the Geological Tricorder; the “mineral viles” are a very cool touch as well. However, I did have one question about the Tricorder though: The button furthest to the right doesn’t “recoil” the way that the others do, is this normal, or is there a defect in my Geoglical Tricorder? Thanks again for your time Chuck, and I look forward to reading your next Q&A.

DSTChuck: The E is not a new ship that would just be a re-issue and we’re looking into demand etc. to ok a new production run. I’ll have to check on the Geolocial Tricorder but I think that might be an issue with yours, glad you like it! It was fun to work on something that was hardly on screen at all.

When are we going to see a Romulan action figure range in your Star Trek range? Star trek 11 was great, but the figures for it was very disappointing. I would of loved to have bought the Nero action figure or even the figures fron the USS Kelvin. I totally understand you have nothing to do with the merchandise for that film. Your design and style is much more professional and pleasing to the eye. Will you be doing a Romulan Range in the future ?…….

DSTChuck: DST does not have rights to the new movies or anything created in that new universe. Sorry.

Greetings Chuck, I had a look at DST’s Toy Fair images & have to say I am completely blown away by the utter awesomeness that is the Retro Vina! From her colourings, to her expression to her beautiful long hair. The folks working on this figure have done a fantastic job on every level. I cannot wait to place her in my DST Retro display (along with Chapel & Salty as well ofcourse). Pike is very nice too. Love the new shirt. If you ever feel like making someone to keep him company, please consider Majel Barrett as Number 1. The original First Officer hasn’t quite made it into toy assortments before. Anyway, just had to let you know how totally excited I am about these Retro Trek figures. Keep them coming! Sam.

DSTChuck: Sam I think we’ll take it one wave at a time now with the Trek retro line but I have to say I don’t think we’ve ever discussed Majel for any of our lines – maybe we should have…
