World Wrestling Entertainment is currently making two action features in Queensland, Australia, with production offices established at the Warner Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast.

The first, "The Marine", commenced principal photography on October 11th 2004 for an eleven week shoot. The film marks the motion picture debut of WWE Smackdown! Superstar John Cena. Cena stars as an injured marine who returns from the war in Iraq to find his girlfriend inadvertently caught up in a kidnapping. Co-starring are Kelly Carlson ("Starship Troopers II", TV's "Nip/Tuck") and Robert Patrick ("Terminator 2", TV's "The X Files"). "The Marine" is directed by award-winning commercial director John Bonito. 20th Century Fox will distribute the film theatrically.

The second film on WWE Films' production agenda is currently called the 'Untitled Kane Horror Picture' and will star WWE RAW® Superstar Kane®, who also makes his motion picture debut. The film is described as an intense horror movie with a unique and unusual setting. "We've created the classic bad guy, the classic monster, we're planning to create a villain franchise in the vein of Jason, Freddie and Pinhead" says Producer Joel Simon. 'Kane' will be directed by renowned music video director Gregory Dark. It commenced principal photography in Queensland, Australia on November 1st, 2004. WWE has completed a deal with Lions Gate to distribute the picture theatrically.
