Dawn Of The Dead On DVD!

Dawn of the Dead is another recent genre film with a comic book connection (see "Dawn of the Dead Comic"), and Universal is coming out with a DVD of the remake of the George Romero horror classic on October 5. Dawn of the Dead will be available in both R-Rated and Unrated Director's Cut versions. The Unrated Director's Cut has a running time that is 9 minutes longer than the theatrically released R-Rated version (though the R-Version does include the extra footage from the Director's Cut as "deleted scenes." Featurettes and commentaries are also included in both versions, and the SRP for both DVDs is the same--$29.95.
