ADV has announced that it will release the complete Gatchaman anime series on DVD in the U.S., launching June 14th. In recut form, Gatchaman spawned both Battle of the Planets and G-Force in the States. The Gatchaman series has never been released in its uncut form in the U.S.

ADV also announced that superhero uber-painter (and Gatchaman fan) Alex Ross will produce brand-new original box art for this collection.

There are 105 episodes, including 20 that have never been seen in the U.S., planned for the seven volume series.

The initial release, Gatchaman: Collector's Box Vol. 1, will include three discs and carry a $44.98 MSRP. Two of the discs will contain ten episodes; the bonus DVD will feature extras and a behind-the-scene look at the series.

Individual five-episode DVDs will carry a $14.98 MSRP.
