I remember as a kid wishing I had these. I don't see myself getting them now, though, they haven't aged well at all.

Okay, I thought I sniffed the faint whiff of bull$#!+ off of this set, but I wasn't entirely certain, so I Googled. Yep. That is, indeed, BULL$#!+ I smelt!

This isn't just the same old "Playmates milking the old molds" garbage. This is EXTRA SPECIAL GRADE A PREMIUM garbage.

THAT is not Movie Splinter. THAT is just a shite repaint of the Splinter figure from the regular line. THIS IS MOVIE STAR SPLINTER. Original flocked release, or unflocked painted rerelease.

Also, note how Movie Splinter has a full robe, with sleeves, while $#!+ Poser Box Set Splinter just has the same old one-piece with holes. And of course, Movie Splinter has a completely different rack of accessories, while SPBS Splinter has the same old crap basic Splinter comes with.

Putting aside the fact that Playmates is just rereleasing the same figures as they did 30 years ago . . . putting aside the fact that this could easily be a proper box set of 8 figures and include Tokka and Rahzar, for a comparable price . . . this isn't even a COMPETENT set!

This is why I haven't bought a Playmates toy in nearly a decade. *facepalm*

I always thought these were cool figures, when they came out they were crazy good looking, they still look alright, but the spots I never realized were terrible looking, they still hold up sculpt wise I guess but why would you really want these when NECA gave us the best movie figures ever... Nostalgia I guess , I'm sure people will want these, me however nope.

Playmates just re-release all your old 80s and 90s non turtle figures FFS. I want to build my classic collection again.

These look really bad, they look like they are on drugs and the painted spots makes them look like they are infected with something.

I had these figures back in the day. The sculpts were fantastic but that whole rubbery feel gimmick was bad. They couldn't hold there weapons and couldn't stand up at all. If they do repro them please use better plastic.

Why not develop new product instead of bringing back the old?, and to top it all off, Target's exclusive...heck, Playmates should lose the license.

I'd like to see them do figures more like the MOTU ORIGINS. At least take the old and update. I've been finding these reproductions pretty boring. It's nice holding a tmnt figure withnew types of plastic and paints. But that's it. The retros still look better.
