Picking up where 2021’s The Suicide Squad left off, DC’s recently released series – Peacemaker follows a violent vigilante who believes in achieving peace at any cost - no matter how many people he has to kill for it in the process. He was one of the members of the second Task Force X strike team sent on a mission to Coro Maltese.

In response to the immense fame of the character, Hot Toys is pleased to officially introduce the highly-anticipated 1/6th scale Peacemaker collectible figure with shiny silver chrome helmets from the Peacemaker collection.

Sophisticatedly crafted with striking likeness of Peacemaker’s appearance portrayed by John Cena in the action series, the 1/6th scale figure features a newly developed helmet head and an interchangeable helmet covered in silver chrome finish with details, an attachable tongue to create alternate expressions, a specially tailored outfit, weapons including a sword, an axe, and a figure stand. The sidekick of the show - Eagly will also come as a 1/6th scale accessory with spread wings for complete collector experience. You can pre-order this at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com.

Also YIKES on that amount of misfires.

That was just off the top of my head. I had forgotten about how their unmasked Batman Returns Bruce Wayne resembles Robert Wuhl as much as it does Michael Keaton, and how the only Han Solo figure they made that even resembles Harrison Ford is the Force Awakens version, and even that likeness has problems, and there's plenty more, but I don't want to turn this into a Hot Toys bashing thread. In fact, it shouldn't, so...back on topic: I feel like Eagly should come with a set of hugging wings, but that would probably look weird with the headsculpt. I wonder if maybe an unmasked version might be coming a little later-one with a calm face.

They mess up lots of times: they keep using the same Luke Skywalker head sculpt with a super weird expression on its face (not this weird but definitely awkward), half of their Black Widow figures only vaguely resemble Scarlet Johannson, more than half of their Wonder Woman figures look more like Kim Kardashian than Gal Gadot, neither of their Predator 2 Elders have accurate paint jobs and many of the details are completely wrong, their Leonidas didn't look anything like Gerard Butler, The "talking" feature on the 2014 ED-209 gives it a Chinese accent, the first ED had severe and consistent problems with rubber deterioration on the sensor dome thing...I don't know what decisions led to this, but I can at least see John Cena when I look at that goofy thing. It's pretty much the spitting image of this:

I think that was their reference XD. I had looked up john cena images just to see if he did this outside of the actual show/movie bc i never saw it and thats the literal only image i could find. Im so puzzled. Also YIKES on that amount of misfires. For such expensive as all hell figures, youd think theyd be near if not perfect out the gate.

Man those head sculpts are awful, that tongue out face, what is that? No Neutral head? Normally Hot Hoys obviously make the most detailed amazing figures with all the right accessories, this is the first time I think I can say they messed up, in less they have some other version of this figure up their sleeve this one is off the mark with those head choices.

This is an interesting figure. Hes way too skinny compared to how Cena is in the show/movie. The inclusion of a tongue out face is weird af as I dont recall him ever doing that and even so its not like hes known for that. A lack of an unmasked or calm head is also very strange. Overall the details are nice and it looks good but some strange omissions and inclusions. Funny they included a patented "you cant see me" pose.

John Cena has lost a lot of weight since his time in the WWE. I'm sure he's totally changed his workout regimen and would bet that he doesn't take supplements to build muscle mass. He's much thinner in the face, but that comes with age too.

On one hand, we don't know if the gun (Peacemaker's weapon of choice, not bladed weapons) is removable from the holster, there does not appear to be an unmasked John Cena head, and the whole tongue thing is a weird choice. On the other hand, it includes Eagly!
