I love the X-Plus series, but I could never bring myself to buy them at those prices. That said, they are beautiful figures that really capture the designs from the films and concept art.

I think it's the cute factor that DynalRaven mentioned. Maybe even a little cheese. And I really like some of the more modern updates to the character's look, but I feel like some of the figures of the older versions are quite a bit better.

Old Godzilla design is goofy looking, but definitely nice, and even kinda cute. I prefer more modern looks since he looks more menacing, but this one is not bad at all.

I know this is a couple of inches bigger but at $175 I think Im going to stick with the NECA line.
