This isn't a Star Wars Black Series thread, folks. Keep your posts on topic, please.

I quit Black Series a few years ago after too many that just didn't hold up. Plus after a while it just seemed like endless repaints of clone troopers. After I got decent versions of the OG characters I really lost interest.
Just now, Jscott991 said:They are shockingly bad when you put them next to a Classified or even Legends figure. They can look so wonderful (that clean Battle Droid for example) and then be so disheartening at the same time.

I've yet to take a single MOTUC down and replace it with a Masterverse figure so I've just got a pile of this Mattel junk. I do want that New Eternia Evil-Lyn, though.
I just had this exact discussion with two friends: One I said I think I fell out of love with Masterverse and I wish I had just stuck to my guns of buying figures only from new media because I have an almost complete MOTU Classics Collection. As for Star Wars, I love Star Wars ut every single Black Series figure I buy get opened, I look at it for a while and then into a ziploc bag and in a bin. They are terrible figures though, construction wise.

I don't have any experience with Ramen and it is expensive but Hasbro is running out of Joes I'm interested in adding to the collection so my toy budget can be reallocated to a third party tank. All I'll need is Steeler and I'll be set.
I'm not really interested in these because of the size (I haven't even opened my HISS tanks), but I am experiencing the same issue. With Retro Cobra Commander and the Retro Troopers coming out, I'm hard pressed to think of what I will be buying from the Joe team. Blonde Cover Girl? Cobra Nightstalkers? A retro Jinx?

The ratchets on that prototype are serious too
When I was a kid I thought the bridge-layer was so damn cool. Never had it myself, though I had a Wolverine and MOBAT, and upon reflection it seems like the sort of thing with fairly specific playability, but there was something about the commercial that just made me fall in love with it. Nice to see it's kind of getting some attention from Ramen, though I don't really think I'll be biting on any of this. But I'm glad it's out there.

Agree on the price wishes and acknowledgement of out of budget (Id buy it in a heartbeat tho). That said, I do think this is quite bigger that the VAMP, even with less accessories and extra figure, it does sit 3 while the VAMP sat 2. Plus, it has expansion pack capabilities.
Although I do feel the add-ons are a bit overpriced, particularly the bridge.
