It's
Wednesday and you know what that means...
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the latest
Amazing Yamaguchi Revoltech figure,
Catwoman from the
Batman: Arkham Knight video game. It's been over 2 years since the
Amazing Yamaguchi Arkham Knight figure, and this
Catwoman is a pretty great figure, with the usual
Revoltech issues (
gaps, limbs popping out, etc).
The new
packaging is quite modest (
nO WiNdOw?!), all grey with a few pics of the figure.
Catwoman comes with an extra
head sculpt,
2 extra face plates (both with
moving eyes),
6 extra hands,
3 whips (wired, posed and folded), and some of her most recent
loot (a
pile of jewelry and gold, a
ruby, a
collar and
some necklaces), as well as the usual
stand and the little
tool to move her eyes.

As mentioned in the
Arkham Knight review, the articulations are your usual
Revoltech /
Amazing Yamaguchi articulations, which means articulations
on top of articulations, and the figure can sometime feel a bit intimidating. If you know what you're doing (
I don't!), you can have
Selina in some really awesome dynamic poses. The design does get a bit
anime-like, which is pretty usual with
Katsuhisa Yamaguchi's designs.

Moving eyes + different face plates / head
The different
face plates are pretty easy to change, you can remove the top part of her head, then pop out the face. The
moving eyes are a bit of a pain in the butt to me, because I feel I can never get them really '
straight'. Changing the whole
head is a bit more of a challenge, since the peg hole isn't straight up but a bit on the side inside the head. This figure also has the
legs that pop very easily out of the peg, and I had to put the legs back about 15 times while posing her for pictures. Once you get her in nice poses, though, she does looks
pretty awesome.

Gappy shoulders... but we forgive it.
The action figure of
Batman from the same game should come out later this year, and I'm looking forward to it, especially since their last
Batman figure was
SO @$$.
