ToyFarce News: Mint in Box Collector Watches Action Figure Unboxing Videos To Spook Himself!

This Halloween season, while most people are watching horror movies or telling ghost stories to spook each other, one toy collector is giving himself the ultimate fright by watching a truly spine-chilling type of video: Action figure unboxing videos! Meet Michael, a die-hard mint in box collector who has found the most terrifying way to celebrate the spooky season, by binge-watching people ripping open pristine packaging, tearing through factory tape and discarding cardboard like it's nothing! ToyFarce investigated...

"I tried watching horror movies like everybody else, but nothing scared me like seeing a rare action figure lose more than half of its value in under 30 seconds" said Michael. "It's like watching a car crash, but with more plastic! The way they just peel the bubble off the blister card, or crack those boxes open... it's horrifying!"

Michael gave us more details about his ritual: "I usually start slow, and watch videos on some channels where they carefully peel the tape, open the box without bending the cardboard,... like they are defusing a bomb, wearing white gloves. If I manage to watch a few without turning the TV off, I'd switch to more professional ones, where they use box cutters and scissors like maniacs, or rip through the cardboard. That's where the real terror begins!"



Michael hopes to work up the courage to watch a Hot Toys unboxing videos by the end of the month: "I'm not sure I am ready. Those figures cost hundreds of dollars, and watching someone casually open one, touch the figure all over, pop the head off to use a different one,... might push me over the edge. But hey, it's Halloween! Go big or go home, right?"
