NECA's warehouse has turned what had been a routine online purchase into an unexpected surprise, as dozens of fans who ordered the highly anticipated
NECA TMNT (Cartoon) Sewer Lair - Donatello's Lab diorama were shocked to find not one, but
TWO labs delivered to their door...

If you're in one of the many
NECA TMNT Facebook groups, you've probably noticed the dozens of posts about it: "
Guys! I just accidentally received a second Donatello Lab! This is awesome!... By the way, I now have one for sale for $799.99...". So far, we have counted about 18 to 20 people receiving a second one by accident. Could it be a mistake from the warehouse? An '

Or could they have just bought 2 and pretend a second one arrived "by mistake"?) - Who knows!

I thought it was a mistake!" said
Gary, a long time TMNT collector in Idaho, still surrounded by boxes in his living room. "
I mean, I knew Donatello's a genius and all, but I don't need TWO labs to test that theory!" he added. The glitch, which NECA described as "
a brief, unexpected duplication in our system" has left many collector scratching their heads... while also being very thrilled. "
I was only expecting one lab setup for my display, but now I can have a whole multiverse of Donatellos tinkering on inventions in their lab!!"

Jimmy, one of the other customers affected by the glitch, found a creative way to handle the extra piece: "
I'm giving one to my cat, appropriately named Donnie! He deserves a nice diorama too, and hopefully will stop jumping on my shelf! This is the best 'glitch in the matrix' me or my cat have ever experienced!"

Now I just need NECA to 'glitch' my next order of the TMNT Cartoon Street Scene Diorama as well..."

Now the selected few can build dioramas of the lab boxes. How fortunate this is!
This farce reminds me of something that happened to me this year:
I bought a BASE model Ramen Racer, under early bird price. (Awesome toy btw).
I ended up receiving the full package with ALL additional accessories. Interchange pack, inferno pack... all of it.
I actually felt bad at first. I kept thinking to myself, "Does this mean someone who paid for the full package didnt receive theirs?"
Then the greedy human in me kicked-in and said, 'OH WELL! That's Ramen's problem!"
Which... I immediately felt guilty about again because I like them and don't want to see them losing revenue, customers or reputations.
In the end I figured it was a nice mistake in my favor and to just appreciate that sometimes GOOD random things can happen.
