It's
Wednesday, and you know what that means...
ToyFarce review!
And now for something completely different... This week, we're having a look at the
Trendy Machinery B.Duck & Spa Duck model kit by
SOSKILL and
Ultra Egg. Every once in a while, I like to grab the most ridiculous toy possible. This time, this model kit ended up on my radar, and...
I just had to. It's a little ducky with his little basin and bath supplies, with a ducky themed mecha.
I didn't have a choice!
I expected it to come in a box the size of a bigger
Gunpla model kit (
like a Master Grade or Perfect Grade Gundam), but I couldn't be more wrong. The box is
HUGE. The mecha is about 8" tall, so there was no reason for the box to be that huge, but once I opened it, I understood. There are a ton of
sprues! They go up to the letter
P, and at least 4 of them are double (
arms and legs parts). There are also sheets of stickers and electronic parts. I didn't really time it, but I spent a couple of afternoons building it. It wasn't really difficult, like a
Gundam model kit, which I loved to build when I was younger (
I still do, I just don't buy them often).

The little
B-Duck figure has articulated arms, legs and neck. It comes with his little
bath basin and
bath supplies, including a
shower brush (
with a duck on it, of course), a
towel and a little
sponge. The little sponge has a
magnet inside and can be placed on top of the
B-Duck's head, and has another very practical use (
more on that later). The
Spa Duck mecha comes with
3 finger attachments for each hand, a
shower flag and a
water gun. It has a
jet pack and a
ducky inside a tube attached to its back.
Of course, it does. It also comes with
stickers and
decals, along with the instructions. The stickers/decals have fun messages like '
born to be awesome', '
sharing happiness and fun to everyone',... to put all over the mecha.

This thing is
RIDICULOUS. I love it so much! It is relatively well articulated, can move nicely and hit
fun poses, and even have some
lights (
2 in the front, 2 in the jetpack and 2 in the tube with the ducky in it). The lights can be activated by placing the
sponge magnet on them.
Yep. The future is now. We can use a tiny sponge magnet to turn lights on and off on a robot duck. It even has a
soft goods loin cloth,
because why not? The
water gun can be attached only on one side, which has the corresponding finger attachments. Same with the
shower flag, which is an actual shower pipe with the flag on top.

This model kit is awesome, and was even pretty cheap (
around $50). A '
Black Samurai' limited edition of it, which uses transparent black plastic can still be found at our sponsor
BigBadToyStore.
