G.I. Joe Based Vehicles I Think Hasbro Could Do For 6" Action Figures

G.I. Joe toys in the 80’s were all about action figures and vehicles. Some may even argue that the vehicles were more crucial to the line’s success than the figures. While the pending 6” G.I. Joe: Classified action figure line has yet to be officially confirmed by Hasbro, I thought it would be fun to speculate on what vehicles Hasbro might consider doing in 6” scale for such a line.

Large vehicles such as a Skystriker XP-14F combat jet or Mauler M.B.T.T. tank would be awesome to see, but the size of those vehicles probably make them impractical for Hasbro to do in 6” scale. Even a smaller Cobra HISS tank would likely not be doable for 6” figures. However there are a number of smaller vehicles that Hasbro has done in the past for both the Joe’s and Cobra that might be workable in this scale and, more importantly, affordable to the consumer. Here is my list of those vehicles that I hope Hasbro considers making for the rumored Classified line.

G.I. Joe Jet Mobile Pulsion Unit (Jump)

The good ole Joe Jetpack seems like a fairly easy one for Hasbro to do. You don’t even necessarily need to include the launch pad and command console. Just throw in some cool blast-off effects and maybe some additional weapons, and I think you would have a great item that folks would likely be willing to buy multiples of.

G.I. Joe Triple T Tank

This one would only be desirable if Hasbro ends up giving us a 6” SGT. Slaughter figure which I am not even sure is possible with Slaughter’s name likely tied up with the WWE, a license currently held by Mattel.

G.I. Joe Mirage Motorcycle

This is one of two motorcycles Hasbro could do and in my opinion the cooler of the two choices. The original Mirage toy has a side car with a cannon that would allow you to seat a second figure.

G.I. Joe Rapid Fire Motorcycle (RAM)

This is the second motorcycle Hasbro could do, and probably the easier of the two for them to make. The RAM (like the Mirage) has a sidecar, but it was smaller and only featured a 20mm cannon. There was no room for a second figure.

Cobra Ferret ATV

The bad guys had their own type of motorcycle in the form of a 4-wheel ATV. This one could fit two figures on it and had a side cannon and missiles. Honestly I would rather see a Cobra Stinger Jeep, but that is another vehicle I think would be too big to be doable.

Cobra C.L.A.W. (Covert Light Aerial Weapon)

This jet glider was always a favorite Cobra vehicle of mine as a kid, so I would love to see them do this one in 6” form.

Cobra Flight Pod (Trouble Bubble)

Truthfully, Cobra had all the cool small vehicles, and I think this 1 seater pod would make a great 6” scale vehicle.

Cobra F.A.N.G. (Fully Armed Negator Gyrocopter)

This one might be pushing the limits in the size department for being doable, but I think it might just be small enough to work in 6” scale. It’s small one seater helicopter with a front cannon and 2 missiles on each side. It’s one of the original Cobra vehicles Hasbro made, and one of the coolest even to this day.

Cobra S.N.A.K.E. Battle Armor

This exo-suit is another classic Cobra vehicle I think would be a perfect fit for a 6” line. This was actually the very first G.I. Joe vehicle I owned as a kid, so it definitely holds some sentimental value for me.

Serpentor’s Air Chariot

Another vehicle that would only be desirable if we got the specific figure that is meant to go with it, in this case Serpentor. Unlike SGT. Slaughter, I think Serpentor has a much better chance of getting the 6” figure treatment which makes his chariot a must.

Zartan’s Swamp Skier (Chameleon)

It’s hard to think if we get a 6” G.I. Joe action figure line that at some point we won’t get a Zartan figure. While I think most of us would be happy with just Zartan alone, including him with his Swamp Skier like they did with the original figure would be an added bonus. Incorporating the color change feature wouldn’t even be a must.

Let us know what vehicles you would like to see Hasbro do for a 6" G.I. Joe action figure line in the COMMENTS SECTION below.

So which would be the best first one to test the market with? I would tend to think the Chariot with Serpentor would be ideal if you paired it up with a figure. If just doing a vehicle alone with no figure then I would say the Trouble Bubble or the Fang

I think if they did figure and vehicle combo packs like they do with ML then SnowJob and the Polar battle Bear would make a awesome set. though I do get its very Op specific. other sets would be a cool Viper with Trouble bubble set , cobra glider pilot with claw as a nod to the old Glider . Breaker with Ram as per Og box art cover. Duke with silver Mirage (yeah I know it was Bazooka on the original) but there was a 2000's re-release with a packed in Duke and had artwork for Duke driving instead of being a passenger.

Although I collected GI Joe when I was a kid and got many of the vehicles, I probably cherry pick the vehicles at the 6 inch scale. I probably get vehicles that I could cross over with my Marvel Legends figures. So something like the VAMP would work with Marvel Legends Captain America and Hulk figs.

They need is a proper live action G.I. Joe series set during the cold war and all the 80s nostalgia going on. Specially be made show for a old school Joe fans can enjoy G.I. Joe like they knew and love since 1982.

I think some of these might be possible, we have gotten Proffesor X with his hover chair and now Cosmic Ghost Rider in Marvel Legends so who knows, we might get some of these for 6'' GI Joe line(if such a line exists).

I don't think the Cobra F.A.N.G. would be any bigger than Enfys Nest's swoop bike. It's definitely doable.

Yeah its boarder line but I think simple enough that it would be doable.

I would like to add the following:

G.I. Joe: Polar Battle Bear, Sky Hawk, Recon Sled, Devil Fish and Outpost Defender (not a vehicle, but a cool mini playset) or even the L.A.W.

Cobra: you pretty much mentioned all (but I especially like the Trouble Bubble and the C.L.A.W.)

The Polar Bear is a good one. I didnt really focus on those little mini playsets or even things like the 1 seater like the cannons and pack-rat gizmos they did.

The SHARC isn't bigger than the tripple t and it's featured more in the show. The sky hawk is about the same size as professor x's hover chair. I think one of that size could be possible.

I feel like the SHARC might be a little to big, one of those right on the boarder. Skyhawk probably would be doable.
