McFarlane Shows Off Articulation And Adds Knife To Spawn Kickstarter Figure In Latest Update

by Jay Cochran
July 23, 2020
Todd McFarlane has rolled out another update video on his upcoming Spawn figure he successfully got funded on Kickstarter earlier this year.

In the video he shows off some new samples he just got back from the factory and demonstrates some of the articulation that will be featured on the lower legs, ankles, foot and hand.

He also says that they have decided to go with solid plastic as opposed to soft plastic in the torso area because they couldn't get the movement they wanted with the soft.

Finally in the video he shows off a new knife accessory that he is apparently now adding to the figure.

He's looking pretty good.I kinda regret not backing this. I'm happy with the mortal kombat version, but this would be cool too.

I backed this figure and even though I'm pleased with the outcome I still wished they could have done the torso a little differently.

Can't say 100% because Idon't have the figure in hand, but I am very pleased overall. Very satisfied with the torso articulation. Just hope the final product has sturdy joints. That cumbersome cake will most likely be replaced. Hope it's easy to remove.

Can a toy that hasn't even been released yet BE a toy of the year . . . before the year even starts?

Looks good...

I'm curious as to the articulation of this Spawn too. Hope it has almost the same articulation as the first (Mortal K) release, and then you just have to put on the cape (easily). Weird as it may sound, but I like the MK version still... not into humongous capes.

I haven't seen the MK one in person but from what I have seen in photos and video reviews I like the look of it more than this one.
