True, but I do love the design. I bought 3 or four for about $6 each just to use the greebles like the tubes, and the backpack for customs. I also like to have one just as a cool looking hazmat guy. I have a "Mcfarlane" shelf where I don't even care about the characters story or what it's from, I just get it if it looks cool and I have about 2 dozen of the McFarlane figures that just speak to me on a design level even though I have no attachment to the character - things like Deadguy, Lobo, Hazmat Batman, Cy-Gor, Sam & Twitch, Constantine, Golden Winged Wonder Woman and that "Death Metal" Batman that looks like a knight. I've never read the comics or seen the movies attached to any of them, purely just enjoy the way they look.
Is this the 4th or 5th figure from that brief window when Batman had to wear a hazmat suit? Why keep releasing this? It's incredibly niche conceptually, to the point where I still wonder how the original got approved in the first place. It's clearly not a popular figure, every major retail company has given it away for a song at one point or another. Why does Todd think people would want to pay a premium price for this sculpt, of all things? Next version's going to be two-packed with a figure people desperately want, probably.
