Okay, this is two freaking days in a row that a Platinum I would have wanted gets listed, but I don't see it until after work and it's sold out. Trivial matter in the big picture? Yes. Still annoying? Yes!
Shown below is the new The Dark Knight DC Multiverse Batman (Sky Dive) Platinum (Chase) Action Figure from McFarlane Toys. You can purchase this figure from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com with suggested retail price of $39.99.
So is this going to be Todd McFarlane's operating model (make the "regular" version the less desirable one and the chase the version people really want)? No, it's not all the time, but think about it: Skydive Batman reg vs chase, Anne Hathaway Catwoman single release "chase" and no idea of what the reg will be or even if there is one; Hawkman (classic colors released as the chase), etc. He's always been all about generating hype, even when it pisses off his fans. And with those three figs in particular (and probably others I'm forgetting), I don't think he's earning any points with the fans who get screwed by such decisions. Same with making certain super-popular figs store exclusives that people can't get their hands on
I believe BBTS does separate listings for Platinum Editions and upcharges. Not a bad deal since you're guaranteed one and their raised prices still aren't as bad as Ebay sellers.

Keep the things on-topic, folks.
Agree with others here...it's not a great Bale likeness. It is a good generic Bruce Wayne though. If you like to customize your figures (like I do) it's not a hindrance to getting this fugure. But I get it....if you want Bale Batman only the body sculpt gives you that with this figure. Still picking this one up.
Really good-looking fig overall. Head sculpt could be better, and the absence of a masked head is a head-especially given the artwork...oh wait, this is McFarlane. Can't have the fig match the artwork too closely.

Im more curious why theres no Christian Bale head
