If you caught this week's episode preview images and video on the main page I think you will find something to make you happy.
They are only on episode 4, try giving them some time.
As I said, I liked this episode a lot, but it did get me thinking that they need to introduce some of the original non-Cats characters soon.
I know they're introducing the Thundercats to a new generation, but they have to know a lot of people who watch are fans of the original, so they need to include some stuff from the original because of that.
New characters are cool, too, but I don't want it to be nothing but new characters outside of the Thundercats, Mumm-Ra, Slythe, and Grune.
That's why I said soon.
Just saw your post. And this is exactly what I was looking for.

pretty good story... though I prefer more action like the first episode had...
and DAMN.. how the heck is the Thundertank's cannon so powerful?!?! Or are those giant mechs made of dynamite?
I will say that I wasn't too emotionally touched (and I cried during Armageddon) but it was still a good story, that kind that would have really stuck with me as a kid. I am so ready though for all the cats to be reunited, including Jaga, or his ghost, or however they decide to handle it.
Bring on more Mumm-Ra!
I am late to this as I just saw the episode yesterday. First off that song they were singing/humming was really good, I think I am going to extract the audio. The episode was very heavy for a children's cartoon show. It was enough for kids but adults can get a difference sense from it. It was really good, again I loved that song too. I was surprised at how emotional I got over the story.
Actually, I don't care too much about the Berbils. They can work as long as they come up with something creative for them, but if I don't see them it's OK. I was mostly talking about characters like Jackalman, Monkian, Snowman of Hook Mountain, Snowmeow, Lynx-O, Bengali, etc., etc.
If you have a library of characters to choose from, it doesn't make much sense to not use it or introduce new characters when old ones will work. You just need a balance of old and new.
lynx-o was in the first epi in the watch tower, I hope we see more of him and Bengali to.
Yeah, I saw him. And it was absolutely Lynx-O even though they didn't use his name. I wonder what happened to him after the fall of the Thundercats. Wily Kit and Wily Cat didn't think any other 'Cats were left, so does that mean Lynx-O died?! Or did he just go into hiding? Surely not all the kingdom's 'Cats died anyway, but where did they go?

It says a lot about an animated show when even your wife loves to watch it with you! My wife is excited for us to watch it each week. The characters are relatable and the storylines have been very creative. The Petalars were VERY touching and moving and brought a great sense of morality to the overall tone. Really digging Lion-O learning about himself and his role as the Lord of the Thundercats. But I do agree with some out there that I would like to see some more development of the original cast of characters instead of creating new ones.
It was pretty sweet. I hadn't been paying attention to the internet before the episode aired so Panthro showing up was a big surprise. The show is very entertaining. I'm looking forward to more!
