Round 2 To Produce 1/25 & 1/32 Scale Slot Car Model Kit Sets

The Kats at AMT are pleased to officially announce the new "SLOT STARS" Electric Slot Car Program! During the 1960s, AMT offered an exciting array of products to feed the larger scale slot car craze, including complete car kits and parts packs. Today, slot car racing is as hot as ever and AMT is introducing a brand new high performance metal chassis, featured in full 1/25 and 1/32 Retro Deluxe slot car kits!

AMT Brand Manager John Greczula says, “With renewed market interest in large scale slot racing, these new Retro Deluxe format kits give you all the parts needed to build a complete electric slot racer. Just paint, decal, assemble and GO GO GO!”
Each SLOT STARS kit features a complete, fully detailed 1/25 or 1/32 scale model car body with chrome accessories where applicable. These are the same great bodies you find in AMT's static kits, but they're molded in ABS plastic for enhanced durability. One-piece, smoke-tinted vacu-formed window units are included. The clear plastic static kit windows are also provided as an option. Every kit includes a "retro racing" decal sheet with numbers and stripes and complete instructions for assembly.

For running gear, an all-new, fully adjustable and extremely durable metal chassis has been developed. Both the wheelbase and overall chassis width can be changed, allowing the chassis to fit under almost any 1/25 OR 1/32 model car body! For go-power, each kit includes a high- performance, 12 volt DC, 22,300 RPM "GROOVE-MASTERTM" in-line motor that will easily satisfy all newcomers to the hobby as well as serious veteran competitors.

AMT's SLOT STARS kits come in irresistible vintage-styled window box packaging that harkens back to the days of the original slot car craze! In early 2012, the first four kits will be released: The '57 Chevy Bel Air, '66 Chevy Nova SS, '70 Chevy Camaro Z/28, and '06 Chevy Camaro Concept.

In 2012, Polar Lights will release the 1966 TV Batmobile and Green Hornet Black Beauty as 1/32 SLOT STARS kits, featuring the same high performance Groove-Master motor and fully adjustable chassis! Watch for them all...
