Star Trek: Discovery Adds Doug Jones And Anthony Rapp

The newest to board Star Trek: Discovery, CBS' forthcoming digital-only reboot is Doug Jones and Anthony Rapp. They are the latest additions following the news of Michelle Yeoh joining the ensemble as Starfleet captain Captain Georgiou aboard the Starship Shenzhou.

Jones will play Lt. Saru, a Starfleet Science Officer and a new alien species to the Star Trek universe, while Rapp will portray Lt. Stamets, an homosexual astromycologist, fungus expert and Starfleet Science Officer aboard the Starship Discovery.

The new series will premiere on the CBS network in May before moving exclusively to CBS All Access.
