The future of Sasha's character remains up in the air as The Walking Dead's Sonequa Martin-Green has been cast as the lead in the upcoming Star Trek: Discovery as a lieutenant commander.
The first season will consist of 13 episodes, which will be available weekly on CBS All Access after launching with a two-hour premiere on CBS network in May. The series will tell a story through a character who is on a journey that is going to teach her how to get along with others in the galaxy.
CBS declined to comment on the casting.
