Robert De Niro is in negotiations to join Joaquin Phoenix in Warner Bros.’ upcoming Joker stand-alone movie from The Hangover helmer Todd Phillips. If a deal is worked out, De Niro would play a talk show host who is somehow instrumental in the Joker’s origin.
Phoenix is portraying the DC Comics villain in the movie with Phillips directing from a script he's co-written with Scott Silver.

I think this is supposed to fix the problem of boring villains so now they have stand alone movies to have a clear motive.
Jocker, Venom, what's up with villan movies these days.
I have mixed feelings about this one.
I'm not really feeling this, I haven't being blown away by the DCEU so far and I'm kind of getting Jokered-out.
I wonder how this'll play out?
I wonder if Ben Affleck is gonna be in this as Bat-Man or in some sort of cameo.
I wonder what take this movie will have?
