The Show is pretty great, I actually liked every episode so far great characters, John Cena is really fun as Peacemaker (of course we knew that) it's great to see his character fleshed out, I only have one issue with this show and that's the depiction of Vigilante, wow what a blatant Deadpool rip-off, dude's doing his best Deadpool rendition he can, I wish they didn't make the character this way, it's cringey to me.
HBO Max has released the opening credits sequence for the Max Original series PEACEMAKER. Set to the song "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam, the sequence is directed by series writer and director James Gunn and choreographed by Charissa-Lee Barton. It features stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, Annie Chang, Lochlyn Munro, Nhut Le, Christopher Heyerdahl, Mel Tuck, Rizwan Manji, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Dee Bradley Baker (the voice of Eagly).
PEACEMAKER explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of Gunn's 2021 film "The Suicide Squad" - a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The first three episodes of the DC spin-off series premiered THURSDAY, JANUARY 13. One episode will launch weekly thereafter through February 17.
Gunn wrote all eight episodes of PEACEMAKER and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, PEACEMAKER is produced by Gunn's Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Peacemaker was cool. I thought his character was funny and entertaining. However, I was surprised they gave him a spinoff. Personally, though I loved the character, i began to dislike the direction they chose. so after seeing suicide squad then hearing about the spin off I was like...spinoff? Peacemaker? nah.
