"It is too much!" said the wallet at the witness stand. In a weird turn of events, a toy collector from Texas ended up being sued by his wallet, who claimed the repeated harassment over the last few weeks is causing it emotional distress.
ToyFarce was present during the first hearing.
It is true that the last few weeks have been pretty heavy on the wallets of toy collectors:
NECA is having $800+ worth of figures out as part of their Haulathon,
Hasbro had a
Marvel Legends fanstream where a TON of new figures were announced,
Bandai opened the pre-orders for highly anticipated figures,
McFarlane Toys is having a Winter Showcase,
Four Horsemen studios had a 'Retailer Appreciation' wave out, there's at least 3 action figure
Kickstarter campaigns ongoing (
Go, Savage Crucible!), ...
The wallet is simply demanding
a break, or at least that the toy collector
slows down a little. Depending on the verdict of the lawsuit, the wallet might go after the aforementioned
toy brands as well, which are really the ones causing it distress in the first place.
ToyFarce will keep you updated.
