I'm not a sports fan but I think this is kind of genius... I'm interested to see how popular it will be, I hope it does well for them. The idea is good and the potential for easy customization makes it so you can make the generic figure into whoever you want or keep it as a genetic team figure. Personally I really like "generic" things like this - generic soldier, cop, fireman, Football Player etc. I'm glad Hasbro started doing some too with the cop and firefighters. And just to note I don't mean "generic" as an insult - just that they are not specific named people, instead they are blank slates that represent the general profession or team without having to be exactly one person.
