SDCC Notes: Marvel Comics

- Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev will be taking a look at Daredevil's past in "Golden Age".
- Marvel will be launching a Young Avengers series, by Allan Heinberg and Jimmy Cheung.
- February will be the "Avengers Finale".
- Mark Waid's Fantastic Four will feature the return of Galactus, who will select "one of the four" as his next herald.
- Iron Man is confirmed to be taken over by Warren Ellis and Adi Granov.
- Captain America is confirmed to be taken over by Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting.
- Thunderbolts will see a new series, written by Fabian Nicieza and Kurt Busiek, with art by Tom Grummet.
- Robert Kirkman will be launching a new Marvel Team-Up series.
- A Black Panther series was announced for '05, though no creative team was named.
- The Ultimates is still being worked to get the series back on a regular schedule when it's resolicited.
- More ICON projects are expected for '05.
- Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Robert Kirkman and Warren Ellis have all signed 2 year exclusive deals with Marvel.
- Steve Epting and Greg Land have also both signed exclusive deals with Marvel, for undisclosed time periods.
- Runaways will be returning with the New Year, and with a new first issue.
- Talent Caldwell will be taking over the art chores for Spectacular Spider-Man.
- Origin 2 is in the works.
- Marvel and Dreamwave have formed a partnership for a series of projects. The first is an X-Men/Fantastic Four series.
- Peter Milligan will replace Chuck Austen as the writer on X-Men.
