In what can only be described as a Cowabunga Cluster, Craig, a TMNT collector, is reportedly experiencing a crisis of conscience (and confusion, lots of confusion) after opening a NECA Black Friday TMNT-themed blind box he ordered, only to find it filled entirely with Donatello’s Lab sets, only a few days after sending back his second lab... ToyFarce investigated.

Craig was one of many fans who had already experienced NECA's recent warehouse system error, in which some collectors were mistakenly sent two Donatello's Lab sets instead of one. He had barely recovered from the saga of receiving the "friendly yet mildly threatening" emails asking for the extra set to be returned.

"I thought the whole ordeal was over!" he told ToyFarce in an exclusive interview. "I returned the extra lab, with the label they sent, I got my $100 coupon, and even apologized for existing. But then, I thought 'Let’s celebrate Black Friday with one of those NECA blind boxes. What could go wrong?' Well..."

The blind boxes, advertised as a treasure trove of NECA collectibles, turned out to be more of a Pandora’s Box for Craig. When he opened it, he was greeted by not one, not two, but TEN Donatello’s Lab sets. "I can’t tell if this is a warehouse prank, divine irony, or NECA testing me. Are they trying to see if I’ll return these too? Or will they charge me and ban me if I don’t?"

As the situation unfolds, collectors across social media have weighed in with their theories. Some suggest the blind boxes were an elaborate way for NECA to offload surplus inventory of the infamous lab sets. Others joked that Craig should use the extra labs to set up a multiverse storyline, where every version of Donatello is working on an even bigger lab.

When reached for comment, NECA issued a statement: "The contents of our Black Friday blind boxes are randomly curated to surprise collectors. Any resemblance to recent shipping errors is purely coincidental. Probably." Meanwhile, Craig remains torn between keeping the labs, trying to return them, or waiting to see how it pans out. "I guess I’ll wait for NECA’s next email. It’ll probably say, 'We hope you enjoyed the blind box surprise! Now send it back, or else...'"
