Today is
October 31st! It is the best day to
watch horror movies and have
spooky decorations! ToyFarce received lots of emails about a
phenomenon that happens to toy collectors specialized in
horror, as their collections suddenly take the spotlight and is allowed in all the rooms of their home...
but just once a year!
"
My partner usually asks me not to display my horror figures in our home, because 'they're scary'" said Nick, a horror action figure collector. "
I have a nice collection that includes McFarlane Toys Movie Maniacs, Twisted Souls, Walking Dead figures,... up to the current NECA horror figures, which are awesome. Usually, I have to display those in my collection room, a bit hidden, on the side, so that they don't scare anyone... but every year, after the first or second week of October, all of a sudden, things change. The life-size Chucky doll is allowed in the living room, the Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger figures show up on shelves in the entrance, etc... There's something about the Halloween season that makes people more open-minded about having blood-covered monsters all around their house!"
"
I just wish that it could stay like that all year long, but every year, come November 1st, everything has to immediately go back to hide in the collection room..."

Happy Halloween, everybody!
