"
We never saw the driver again" told paranormal investigator John C. about the whole situation. You have probably noticed one thing during your last few
unboxing sessions: there are more and more little
plastic ties holding our action figures in their boxes these days. Especially with
bigger figures. One would imagine that it is to keep the figures from
moving too much in their packaging during transport, but what if we were to tell you that there is a more
gruesome story behind it? Here's another
October Horror Story from
ToyFarce...
"
When you open an action figure, first you have to rip the plastic bubble from the card, or remove the tape and pull the tray out if it's a box." said the investigator. "
Then, you have to pull the figure out of the transparent plastic shell, which usually holds the figure and accessories pretty tightly to begin with. There should be no reason to add 6 or 7 plastic or twist ties to hold the figure by each limb, chest and waist. Or at least, that is what we thought..."
"There was an
incident with a truck..." The investigator took a long pause. "A few years ago, a truck was transporting tons of
action figures. One day, they
lost contact with it, and had to use a
GPS tracker to locate it. When they arrived, there were a lot of
empty action figure boxes and packaging all over the truck, but not a single toy anywhere near. It was like...
they escaped."
"We never saw the driver again, and the transport company had to explain to all those toy brands that the figures seemed to have just...
vanished. This is why they put so much
plastic ties in their packaging now. They don't want another
incident like that again..."

Remember to keep those twist ties, just in case...
