It's
Wednesday and you know what that means:
ToyFarce review!
This week, we're having a look at the
Figura Obscura Frankenstein's Creature from the
Four Horsemen Studios. Another banger of a figure for that line, which never ceases to amaze me. I love how they first
tease the figure a few days before, letting our imagination run wild, before having the figure revealed via '
drops' (
2 drops each time, to give more people the chance to get them). This one is a very accurate depiction of the character from
Mary Shelley's novel, packed with accessories.

Frankenstein's Creature comes with
3 head sculpts,
4 hands,
4 feet (with and without boots),
medical wrappings,
soft good pants, a
sleeveless duster coat,
restraints for his hands and feet along with a ton of "
diorama-style" accessories, such as a
operating table, a
side table,
3 jars of different sizes, with a couple of
heads and a
hand specimen to put inside,
3 books, an old timey
electrical generator (Gramme machine), an old timey
lithium battery and
3 cylinder containers (or lanterns). Not only is the figure great, but those accessories are awesome to populate your shelves and photos. It also comes with a
backdrop which was part of the packaging, as the other
Figura Obscura figures did, along with a
booklet with excerpts from the book.
I love all of that.

Backdrop and booklet
The
Creature's looks is more accurate to the description in the book, with "
yellow skin scarcely covering the work of muscles and arteries beneath". It is also called '
creature' and not '
monster', as it was in the book, in which he is an intelligent, articulate creature, rather than the dumb, child-like monster we're used to from
Boris Karloff's interpretation, with flat top head and green skin. Although, I
do see a tiny bit of
Boris Karloff in the head sculpts, but it might just be me. I love the style with the long hair and coat, but this figure looks amazing in either attires, and the accessories compliment it greatly.
Now, I just have to find space to display it all... Looking forward to the next
Figura Obscura offering!
