Mark, a self-proclaimed toy expert, took to every corner of social media this week to assert that his list is the definitive ranking of the year's best figures. "I’ve seen everyone else’s lists, and, frankly, they’re laughable" Mark scoffed in a 27-tweet thread. "I put thought, nuance, variety and taste into my choices! You can’t just slap a Marvel Legends figure at number 1 and call it a day. That is a cry for help!"

Mark’s list includes several niche, limited-run figures, a few Mezco figures (always those, right?), as well as a few unlicensed third party figures with unpronouncable names: "If you don’t know who my number 4 even is, you shouldn't collect action figures” he added.

"You’re all doing it wrong!" - Mark also used his platform to critique the criteria others used for their lists. "Articulation? Fun factor? *Your own tastes*?... Please. Those are amateur metrics. My list is based on sculpt fidelity, rarity, and the exclusivity of the pre-order process. If your #1 figure was something you could easily buy at a Walmart, it’s not worthy."

He even took shots at popular choices like Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Classified Series or NECA’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lines. "You’re all brainwashed by nostalgia!" he argued. "My picks are for serious collectors who understand true craftsmanship. If your list doesn’t require a six-month wait and a NRD, it’s not valid!"

Despite the backlash in the toy community, Mark shows no signs of slowing down: In fact, he’s already teased a bonus video, titled "Why My Honorable Mentions Are Also Better Than Everyone Else’s Top 5".
