There are some ****ty youtubers out there who put out almost nothing but clickbait nonsense. Let's just make sure that no one here is actually calling anybody out, okay, folks? No one's done that yet, but the last couple of posts are tiptoeing up to that line, and I want to make it clear that line should not to be crossed.

I won't name them, because frankly they don't deserve people being directed towards them, but let's just say they make one wonder how many videos one can make whining about how Marvel Legends is doomed because a couple of obligatory movie waves from literal YEARS AGO wound up at Ollies- if you know you know. Anyway, they came to mind because one of the most recent vids from them I saw was a rant about the price point of the upcoming Maximum line, information that is currently unrevealed. So they took an upcoming product, made up a price in their head completely devoid of citation and likely detached from reality, and then spent 20 minutes complaining about it. It's that level of A) clickbait and B ) intellectual dishonesty that they trade in on the regular, which is why I avoid giving them views.
So I guess it shouldn't shock me when I went to their youtube page just to make sure I had their name right (before I decided they don't deserve any unnecessary promotion), and their most recent upload is a video pretty much exactly like the one being parodied in this article. Hell, they're likely the inspiration for it. Disgraceful.
If the Youtube channel is 1 of those who seems to state "Coming to Ollies Soon..." whenever a new Hasbro toy release has been reveled specifically for Star Wars and Marvel, then I have a good educated guess which channel you are referring to.
Anyways, even if it's pretty close to the truth, I still think this was a fun fake article. Sadly, it seems like may content creators use a similar tactic for just about everything. Even some ones that I normally watch or at least watch once and a while.
Say what you will about the pervious CEO, the late Brian Goldner: Eventhough he had desires to has Hasbro become an IP Machine by having their own Studio to make help make Movies and T.V. Shows(Inspired by the rise of Marvel Studios at that time frame), you know that it was also a way for Hasbro and make toys based on these Movies and T.V. shows themselves, along with maybe a few being license out. For the current CEO, Chris Cocks, while Hasbro may still produce toys for somethings, they are more likely to license out stuff as well, though maybe at this time, IP's that they are just sitting on or not doing as well as they hope.
I would wager a guess that when the 6" G.I. Joe Classified line eventually starts to loose some steam(And a sad reality, it does seem to happen with a Joe line every now and then, usually after at least a good number of years at the very least), that it will be on "Hiatus", and Hasbro will look for someone else to either do the 6" Classified line, or just license out the "G.I. Joe: Classified" name for someone else to do whatever G.I. Joe toys they want to do with that specific name brand(Regardless if they are 6" figures, or something else all together, such as Preschool line, a Vehicle heavy line with approx 1"-2.5" figures or even figurines, etc). Having said that, I do think Hasbro doing 6" Classified may still be good for a few more years before that happens.

I mean yeah it is satirical, but it isn't far from the truth is it? I mean they are already outsourcing brands to playmates and loyal subjects right? The market has changed since the 80s, and we who are their real market-adults in our 40's and up, is getting smaller. The company's current and previous CEO's don't wanna make toys/collectible, they wanna be a license holder. Why pay disney for the glory of making stuff when they can get paid to outsource GI JOE, transformers, MASK ect. The end is nigh gentlemen, this was just the warnings.
I saw the video being parodied here pop up in my Youtube recommendations and was really angry when I did a tiny bit of google research. This is a clever Toy Farce, but not funny. Youtube commentators are awful.
