Callback! Last week, we talked about
Jeremy, a collector who was disappointed that an exclusive figure didn't sell out immediately and didn't want it anymore... Well, that was
BEFORE the
3 days of NECA NYCC 2024 Exclusives pre-orders... Today,
Jeremy is disappointed that the exclusive action figure he wanted *
DID* sell out immediately, and to add insult to injury, it happened
3 days in a row. ToyFarce investigated...
"
Last week, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Sept 25th to 27th), there was 1 single item that I wanted, the TMNT 1990 Kevin Eastman as Garbage man action figure. On the first day, I was distracted by something on my phone - a friend sent me a funny video of a cat - so I wasn't on time, and saw that it was already sold out by the time I got to the website... I blame NECA. I thought I'd do better on the second day..." said Jeremy.

"
On the second day, I was there on time and managed to add the figure to my cart, but I wasn't logged in, and the few seconds it took to log in and enter my payment info, the figure was long gone. I also blame NECA. They could have warned that adding the figure to your cart didn't mean it's reserved!" (They did.)
See? They absolutely did.
"
On the third day, I was there on time, I was logged in and had all my payment info ready. I still didn't manage. I forgot to refresh the page. I heard it sold out even faster than the 2 previous days! Still, I blame NECA. Why would they make those Convention exclusive, limited edition items so hard to get?" (Why, we wonder... could it be because they're
convention exclusive, limited edition items?)
"
Missing out on it once would have been disappointing, sure, but missing out on it 3 days in a row really hurts. Time to go and complain about it in all TMNT groups on social media. Now, I miss the days when the exclusive items didn't sell out immediately..."
More news at 11:00... "
On a sidenote, does anybody have one for a reasonable price?"

The fourth day was "garbage day". I have to say, I'm impressed by how many different accountant faces are mad at places. Well, what I'm hoping is that somehow scientist will manage to bring back dinosaurs and when they die, in a few million years, we will have more than enough petroleum to make more action figures, so I'll be able to buy those nasty reissues then. I'm patient enough I believe.

I went back to make sure I could order 2 used Paypal and order took maybe a minute to process on day 1. I wasn't sure the popularity would be there because it is from a deleted scene and very niche. But goes with my other director and creator figures. Like Tarantino, James Cameron,Spielberg and George Lucas figure.I now feel lucky and fortunate I got 2 on the first day. The only figures I wanted from this sale.
I'm still shocked mine went through on day one, as I had to change some shipping details and that took a few moments. Can't screw around with Neca exclusives.
